How many new homes can Birmingham home builders construct in only seven days?  The answer is 13, and Harris Doyle Homes is proud to once again be partnering with Habitat for Humanity Greater Birmingham for its annual Home Builders Blitz to build a home for a local family in need. The community effort will involve the collaboration of professional home builders, suppliers, local sponsors and hundreds of volunteers to construct new homes located on Winchester Hills Way in Clay, Alabama. Building will begin on May 1 and wrap up by May 8. This year will be Harris Doyle Homes’ sixth year participating, and on May 9, Ashley Robinson will receive the keys to her new home. “I’m very thankful that you took time out of your schedule to help put a smile on the faces of my daughter and me,” says Ashley. “I am so very grateful for this opportunity and blessing of owning my own home.” Ashley was born and raised in Birmingham, graduating from Erwin High School. She currently works at Title Max, and aspires to one day own her own salon. In her free time, Ashley enjoys playing with her two-year-old daughter Mari, who loves to count and color. Harris Doyle Homes is excited to be working closely with Ashley throughout the hands-on construction process and cannot wait to see the final results. Since it was established in 2002, annual Home Builders Blitz events throughout the nation have led to the construction of nearly 1,100 new homes.
