Harris Doyle Homes’ SweetBay Community is now set to start breaking ground on its latest phase. The master plan will include 3,200 beautiful single – family homes and apartment units, a convenient retail town center, and a scenic marina. The new phase of this Gulf Coast Community hopes to fill a niche for first – time homebuyers, as well as people seeking to start retirement. The introduction of the new cottage phase in SweetBay promises to redefine the concept of modern living with its emphasis on convenience, style, and affordability. Harris Doyle Homes’ Coastal Division Director of Construction Chad Oosterveen sums up the new phase below: 

“It really gives an opportunity for people to become part of a community. As a first-time home buyer, this is your first home. You can step up. Move into, you know, a larger home as you and your family grow,” Oosterveen. “Looking to downsize kids going off to college, empty nesters, this is a great opportunity to downsize from something, but still be a part of a community here in SweetBay.” 

There will be four different and unique floor plans for the cottages, ranging from 1,500 square feet to 3,000 square feet. The prices will fall between the $300,000 to $450,000 range. This variety ensures there will be a cottage that fits any homeowner’s needs and fits right into their budget. Each cottage cleverly combines timeless architectural design with trendy, modern finishes. This blend creates a delightful living space that’s not just stunning to look at but is also highly functional for any family. All plans will feature an open-concept living area, thoughtfully-designed kitchens, and spacious bedrooms – all tailored to accommodate the needs of modern families. These cottages also boast low-maintenance exteriors, ensuring that homeowners can spend less time on upkeep duties and more time enjoying the community’s amenities.

“So, part of the cottages is the HOA will provide all the irrigation and all the landscaping and landscaping maintenance here. So that is an advantage for a first-time home buyer. You will not have to know, do you own landscaping? Water your grass? The area will provide all that for these homes.” 

There will be a total of 95 cottages planned for this phase and 8 were pre-sold. Construction started on the first home on Thursday, July 13^th, and plans to be completed by the end of October. All 95 homes should be finished within the next two years.
