Celebrating Seven Year of SliceFest in Birmingham
Known as the largest food and music block party in Birmingham, SliceFest is back for its seventh year on Saturday, June 16. Twelve music acts are set to perform on two stages from noon until midnight at Birmingham’s Lakeview entertainment district. In addition, there are fun-filled activities scheduled for the entire family! Taking place along 29th Street south between Seventh Avenue and South and Clairmont Avenue, just minutes from several Harris Doyle communities, is the day-long block party full of music, craft beers and specialty pizzas. With saxophones roaring and drums beating, the popular duo Big Gigantic will be headlining the stage to tear down the house with supporting acts, reggae legends The Original Wailers and Too Many Zooz. While there are tons of bands performing at SliceFest, you can’t forget the amazing food provided by the local restaurant hosting the event, Slice Pizza and Brewhouse. In addition to music and food, children’s activities such as face paintings, bounce houses and a dough toss are planned from noon to 4 p.m. Children ages 12 and younger also receive free admission! Tickets for SliceFest are $25 to $35 for general admission and $100 to $200 depending on the time of purchase.
