The Florida Panhandle spans from Pensacola to Apalachicola and is home to some of the world’s most beautiful white-sand beaches. The Panhandle is a popular vacation destination -- often known for it’s quaint beach towns such as Destin, 30A, Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach and Panama City Beach. However, residential life in the Florida Panhandle is hard to beat, and Harris Doyle Homes is excited to expand our market to this beautiful area – specifically Panama City and Panama City Beach.
With a 27-mile stretch of stunning white sand beaches, the beauty of the Florida Panhandle is easy to fall in love with. Tourists and residents alike can enjoy scenic state parks, theme parks, golf course and delicious food! One of the most popular destinations in Panama City is St. Andrews State Park, where visitors will find the perfect combination of beachfront beauty and natural surroundings. In addition to offering beach access, St. Andrews State Park also picnicking and boating facilities, as well as two nature trails that are great for bird watching. Camp Helen State Park is open for exploration, and is surrounded on three sides by the Gulf of Mexico, Phillips Inlet, and Lake Powell. On the Park's 18.5 acres are rare shorebirds, freshwater wetlands, coastal dunes, a salt marsh and more. Along the same lines, St. Andrews State Park stretches over one and half miles of beach by the Gulf of Mexico and Grand Lagoon. Known for its pearly white sand and emerald green water, the Park also offers numerous water activities like scuba diving, kayaking and snorkeling. The Park is also home to the famous Shell Island, a 700-acre wildlife sanctuary island.
There's plenty of excitement to be found in Panama City as well. Family fun spots include Barnacle Bay, a miniature golf course, and Russell-Fields Pier, open year-round for fishing. There's also ZooWorld Zoological and Botanical Park, which holds approximately 300 animals in its beautiful garden setting.
One of best things about living in Panama City and Panama City Beach is the unbelievable selection of fantastic restaurants. When you combine an amazing selection of restaurants with a great state park and interesting culture and shopping experiences right on one of the most beautiful beaches in the entire world, you end up with the ultimate paradise.
Panama City Beach offers great shopping – from local beach specialty shops to department stores, Panama City offers a little bit of everything. If your looking for a serious shopping experience, Pier Park is definitely the place you want to start. This 900,000-square-foot outdoor mall debuted in 2008 and already has become a shopping destination for the Panama City market and the entire Emerald Coast. There will ultimately be 100 retailers at Pier Park, including favorites like Target, Forever 21, Dillards, JC Penney’s, and Marshall in a beautiful beach setting.
Harris Doyle Homes is excited for the opportunity to move into this thriving market and offer new home communities to families in the Panama City area.
