A few weeks ago, we were very excited to announce our brand new community of homes just north of Birmingham in Gardendale, Fieldstown Crossing. This week, we are pleased to announce to prospective residents even more news related to this community.
In a recent city council meeting, the city of Gardendale heard the first reading of an ordinance calling for the annexation of our new 60 lot development located near the intersection of Shady Grove and Fieldstown Roads. This ordinance will be read at one more city council meeting before hopefully being approved.
Also in a recent special election, city voters chose to fund an independent school system through an increase in the area’s property tax. The new school system will be a split from the Jefferson County school system, and will allow the city to provide a better education to the area’s residents. This will be a long process that could take up to a couple of years, but the city has already gotten the ball rolling by accepting applications for the new Gardendale School Board, which they hope will be in place by March 2014.
If you missed our announcement, the new Gardendale community of Fieldstown Crossing will feature homes with similar designs as our new homes in Birmingham AL at The Cotswolds, but with re-imagined front elevations. These spacious three or four bedroom plans will be priced from the low to mid $200’s with open living areas and high quality finishes. The community will also be complete with a neighborhood park and lighted sidewalks to encourage resident interaction.
We plan to start construction on the new homes in this community in summer 2014, so be sure to subscribe to our Birmingham homebuilder blog to get the latest updates regarding this and all of our other communities in your inbox.
