Meet Our Online Sales Consultant, Kristie Cotter

Harris Doyle Homes is pleased to introduce you to our Online Sales Consultant, Kristie Cotter. As the Online Sales Consultant, Kristie serves as an initial point of contact for new home buyers and prospects by quickly answering questions and providing a wealth of information ranging from community information to floor plans and scheduling onsite tours. Kristie’s goal is to keep the buying experience moving for our customers and ensure all their questions are answered and needs are met during the initial phase of their new home journey.

If you are in the market for a new home in Birmingham, Auburn, Lake Martin, Pike Road, Baldwin County, or the Florida Panhandle, it’s likely that you have a ton of questions ranging from available communities and timelines to floor plans and amenities. We took a few minutes to sit down with Kristie and learn more about her and the roles she plays at Harris Doyle.

1. Where did you go to school and what did you study while you were there?

During my undergraduate studies, I attended The University of Alabama at Birmingham and earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. I also went to Colorado Christian University for graduate school, where I earned a master's degree in counseling.

2. When did you know you wanted to pursue a career in your current field?

After moving back to Alabama in August, I decided it was time to try a new career. I have always had a passion for real estate and new home construction. The position of OSC at Harris Doyle felt like the perfect fit.

3. What makes you excited about your job?

I enjoy helping our customers during the initial phase of the home buying process and sharing with them the Harris Doyle Homes vision.

4. What is the most rewarding part of being an Online Sales Consultant at Harris Doyle?

Buying a new home is one of the most exciting events in a person’s life. They dream about the perfect home in the perfect community. I love sharing in the excitement of our home buyers as they consider our floor plans and locations of lots. It is so rewarding to hear our buyers say…” I only want a Harris Doyle home”.

5. Do you have any tips for future homeowners? If so, what are they?

Moving has been reported to be one of the top five most stressful life events. During the hunt for a new home, try to be flexible and enjoy the process. Embrace the adventure, get pre-approved with Silverton Mortgage, and never settle for anything other than a Harris Doyle home.

6. Tell us about your favorite Harris Doyle floor plan and why?

I love the Tanglewood floor plan! A home with a front porch offers a great place to meet neighbors and make friends. I also love the flow of the Tanglewood. It’s a great floor plan for game day entertaining.

7. Tell us about your family.

I have a fabulous husband and best friend, Tom. We have been married for 22 years. Tom works for A.C. Legg as the Operations Manager overseeing production. We have an amazing son who lives in Colorado. And not to be left out…we have three cats, Bee, Maxie, and Gus.

8. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I will either be on a hiking trail or digging in the dirt. I love the mountains. A pair of hiking boots, a backpack, a lovely picnic, and good company (my husband, Tom) make a perfect weekend. I also love gardening. It is so satisfying to grow fresh vegetables to be shared with friends and family.
