We took a minute to chat with Megan and learn more about her passion for real estate and what it’s like working in new home construction and at Harris Doyle Homes. 

When did you know you wanted to pursue a career in Real Estate?

“My family has been involved in the real estate and construction business my entire life, so it has always been an interest of mine.  When an opportunity arose to become licensed and start helping people find HOME, I didn’t think twice!”

What makes you excited about your job?

“Real Estate is like solving a mystery, uncovering facts about people, their spoken wants and needs but especially the unspoken ones.  Helping them find a lot with the perfect yard or view, picking a house plan based on their family and lifestyle and choosing all the options to make their new home function for them is a thrill for me.”

What is the most rewarding part of being a Sale Agent at Harris Doyle?

“On closing day, when we’re gathered in our homeowner’s new kitchen, and they are beaming with pride and excitement…that’s the best part for me.”

Do you have any tips for future homeowners? If so, what are they?

“Take a deep breath, keep an open mind, and do your very best to enjoy the process; it will all be worth it in the end.”

Tell us about your favorite Harris Doyle floor plan and why?

“My favorite plan is the Oxford.  This plan feels spacious yet cozy with ample space for entertaining or just having a movie night alone.  The extended covered porch is by far my favorite though, especially when we build it overlooking the water at Farmville Lakes.”

Tell us about your family.

“I am originally from Cincinnati, OH with my family spread from Connecticut to South Florida.  I moved to Auburn in 2017 and have loved every minute of my life here.”

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

“I am obsessed with all things design and DIY!  I have laid tile floors, built a fireplace, tons of wood accents walls and more.  I love finding an idea and making it happen.  A weekend project spent with many trips to the hardware store is my idea of a good time”
