At a recent press conference, the Town of Pike Road and the Pike Road Board of Education officially unveiled the design for the new Pike Road School. Set to break ground in January 2014, the new school located adjacent to our homes in Pike Road, Alabama at the Waters, will provide excellent educational opportunities to students in kindergarten through eighth grade beginning with the 2015-2016 school year.
At the meeting, Gary Greenshields of Infinity Architecture presented the exterior rendering of the first building to be construction on the Pike Road School campus. The mayor commented that the design was a result of years of involvement and input from the local citizens.
Pike Road residents are invited to attend three information sessions to see the school’s design, learn more about the construction timeline and ask any questions they may have. Dates for the information sessions, which will begin at 6 p.m., are Monday, October 28 ay Peace Baptist Church on Barnes Road; Tuesday, November 5 at Pike Road Town Hall and Thursday, November 7 at the meeting house at The Waters.
The new Pike Road school system is a great asset for residents of our homes in The Waters.
