Leadership Vestavia Hills is hosting the annual Wing Ding, the 2016 hot wing challenge and festival, on Saturday, June 4. This festival puts local chefs to the test. Attendees enjoy the area’s best chicken wings from festival competitors, refreshments, live entertainment and children’s games and activities.
Last year’s event was attended by more than 2,500 people, and this year’s festival will be bigger and better, with a new location, at Vestavia Hills City Hall. Sign-ups for competitors are open now, and event sponsors are currently being sought.
Wing Ding will be held Saturday, June 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person; children eight and under are free. Wing Ding is a chance to come together and celebrate our great community while helping out a worthy cause. Proceeds from the event benefit local charities.
